Installation Engineer – Audio Visual

We’re looking for a top-notch installation engineer who can set up and service cutting-edge audio visual equipment for businesses. Is that you?

Here’s the lowdown:

If you’re an ambitious team player with a solid understanding of first and second fix AV installations, then we can offer you a challenging role in a company that’s going places.

MVS Audio has offices in Wimborne and London. We’ve only been around since 2015, but we’ve quickly put together a strong team, made up of sales, delivery and operational staff.

All 22 of us understand that it’s crucial to pull in the same direction if we’re going to end up where we want to be as a business. And we’ve created a culture that’ll help us reach our goal: AV domination.

Can you help us make this happen?

Who are we looking for?

You’ve gotta love tech with a passion. That’s a given.

But we’re also looking for a perfectionist who knows the importance of the technology you’re providing for our precious clients (the ones our sales team worked hard to land).

You take pride in your work, no matter how small the job is: whether you’re delivering a perfect and impactful cable finish, or testing something for the umpteenth time, you strive to be the best. And your attitude is positive and upbeat.

You get a kick out of meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure, plus you’re equally as comfortable being part of a team as you are out on your lonesome.

Everything we work on needs to be configured and tested thoroughly, so we’re after someone who’s unflappable. When stuff happens (and it will), you’ll need to find a solution, while keeping a clear head.

The nitty-gritty?

Every job is different, so you’ll never get bored.

You’ll mainly be covering the London area, but sometimes we’ll need your help in other parts of the UK. And we’ll occasionally ask you to whip out your passport and work in Europe (pretty cool, eh?).

Regardless, you’ll be reporting to the Installations Manager under instruction from the Lead Engineer and the assigned Project Manager. And we’ll require reports of daily activities you’ve completed and any issues you’ve had.

Cards on the table time. You’ll get all the training and help under the sun, but it’s important that you’re a proactive self-starter who can learn fast.

The non-negotiables?

An excellent working knowledge of how to wire, install and configure a variety of AV & Video Conferencing systems. This includes creative fault-finding and providing preventative measures.

You’ll have excellent soldering, crimp and terminating skills. Audio DSPs don’t send you into a spin and the key principles behind VOIP/SIP integration are locked in.

You also know that RS232 isn’t something out of Star Wars. They’re command strings that you’re confident creating and testing.

We need you to be a CSCS/ECS (or equivalent) card holder.

Oh and to have a valid UK driving license and the right to work in the UK.
