Dolby is a leading global developer of audio, imaging and voice technologies for cinema, home theatres, PCs, mobile phones, and games.

MVS were instructed by Dolby Digital to install their new video conferencing room and training room facilities just off the M4 at Wootton Bassett in Wiltshire.  Working Directly with Dolby we were able to extract the exact requirements of each room and design an easy to use solution.  There was a prerequisite for two rooms with individual needs.  MVS are extremely proud to work alongside audio specialists Dolby for their corporate AV requirements.

The Video Conference room consisted of a dual screen Cisco MX700 connected to a Kramer Desktop input unit; HDMI & VGA connectivity.  The Cisco MX700 is a self-contained wall mounted VC hardware solution with inbuilt speakers for improved voice reproduction.   Cisco was the preferred manufacturer as Dolby’s unified communications operate Cisco globally.

The training room comprised of 2x 70” NEC (P701) display screens and 1x Christie Projector (LWU420). The screens would be used in tandem or as individual screens, alternatively the projector would be used to display content to a larger audience.  The challenge was how to display individual content to each of the screens and the projector from 2x Atlona AT-HDVS-TX wall plates.  Each wall plate sends either a VGA or HDMI signal over CAT5/6 cable.  For this reason MVS installed a Kramer VP-553 presentation switcher to manage the video and audio signals.

To manage the system above, MVS installed and programmed an SY Electronics SY-KPV8VE wall controller.  This replaces the multitude of remote controls typically required to manage a system like this.
