Projector and Evoko Room Booking for Glenigan, in Bournemouth Town Centre

When construction leads specialist Glenigan were moving into their new offices in the heart of Bournemouth town centre, they approached MVS to install an audio visual system to enhance the experience to communicate with staff and enable presentations to take place in a 20 seater boardroom.

Throughout the office space, ceiling mounted LG video screens were installed and connected to local PC’s displaying KPI information to staff.

The boardroom has an Optoma 6000 Lumens Full HD projector installed, projecting onto a 3.5 meter wide electrically operated tab tensioned screen. The room has a number of HDMI and VGA connection points in the desk, via Kramer custom desk plates. All video signals are scaled and switched via a Kramer presentation matrix.

In order to enable simple control of the space, a RTI T1B remote control has been installed and specially programmed.

A Polycom video conferencing system connected to Skype for Business was installed in this space.

Two further smaller meeting spaces had 55” LG displays installed, again connected to Kramer Desk plates, and each room has a Polycom IP6000 conference phone installed.

All spaces have Evoko Room Booking Managers installed and connected to the exchange server, enabling staff to easily see which rooms are currently free, and book out a space on the local touch screen.

Projector and Control for Ringwood School, Ringwood, Hampshire

When Ringwood School were building a new hall they were looking for an Audio Visual system to enable large-scale presentations to staff, pupils and parents. The new space was contemporary in design, and included a lot of glass, so the trick was to overcome achieving a large image, in a bright space. MVS put forward a number of bright projectors and completed a shoot out to enable the school to see which model could achieve the result in the most cost-effective way. An Optoma 6000 Lumens model was selected and has been installed on a specially adapted ceiling bracket, projecting onto a large electrically operated screen.

A number of HDMI & VGA connection points were installed in wall & floor boxes to enable flexible use of the space, as well as cabling enabling the school to use screens on trolleys as repeater screens.

A touch screen control system was installed to enable simple control of all the systems.

A BrightSign digital signage player has been installed in the entrance to the new hall, enabling the school to display messages to visitors, and the system is connected to the site-wide network enabling staff to update content remotely.
