Outdoor Screen Installation – Viper Lounge, Bournemouth

MVS was initially contacted for advice on outdoor screen installation, with an intention to use a Freesat box to allow people to view live sports within smoking/patio area of the bar.

A site survey was arranged in which MVS and the Viper Lounge team discussed the required locations of the screens and discussed the most discreet and secure location for the Freesat dish.

MVS advised on the benefit of adding additional sources such as DVD and Ipod video to futureproof the system.  It was decided that the system would be operated from the manager’s office within the building so that the content being shown could be monitored and the risk of tampering could be eliminated.

The slightly more complex part of the project was the distribution of HD Freesat to the three outdoor screen and the projector within the building, this was done via a matrix and baluns extending the signal strength across the building with some of the cable lengths up to 50metres long.

MVS worked closely with both the owner and Di Lusso Interiors to come up with the “sleek” look required by the client with the outdoor screen installation consisting of three 42″ LED screens with a black high gloss finish.
